Bristol Waste Company - Adds New Commercial Services
Bristol Waste Company (BWC) has announced it is launching a commercial waste service across Bristol and its surrounding areas.
The Teckal company which is owned by Bristol City Council Ltd was handed a 10 year contract. BWC will now offer a commercial service alongside its domestic collection services which it has been running since August 2015, offering waste management solutions including general waste and recycling, shredding, commercial skips and clinical waste. Lee Graham, commercial manager of Bristol Waste Lee says the new Bristol Waste Commercial will be offering companies across the city a bespoke waste management solution which includes general waste and recycling, shredding, commercial skips and clinical waste. It will also offer source segregated recycling – where waste is sorted at the company’s own premises before being taken away by BWC.
Lee adds: “Really it’s all about customer service – the great benefit we have is that unlike many of the big commercial waste companies, we’re here in Bristol, so we know the city and understand any issues companies might have with their bins because of the particular geography of where they are. It’s that personal touch that we can provide.” The launch of Bristol Waste Commercial has resulted in the creation of 10 new jobs for the local economy, with more expected as the business grows.
