Biffa report a £18.7 million pre-tax loss
Biffa have reported a £18.7 million pre-tax loss, compared to last year’s profit of £2.9 million. This follows its public floatation last October.
Overall Revenue was up 6.8% after Biifa made 5 acquisitions and they have a strong pipeline of further opportunities as well as improvements to efficiency of current operations.
Biffa floated on the London Stock Exchange in October 2016 and is the second largest waste management group in the UK, they employ more than 7,000 staff and service 2.4 million households.
They believe the UK waste market will continue to grow by around 5% a year - forecasting it will be worth £18.5 billion by 2020, driven by the country's rising population and household growth.
