The Client
A leading Environmental Consultancy and Total Waste Management Solutions Company providing services to the whole of the UK.

The Position
As Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing accounts, to maximise account profitability and customer satisfaction levels. You will actively promote all of our client’s policies and processes ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with specified quality procedures. Hitting personal targets and contributing to overall profitability, success and positive image of the company in the marketplace is essential in the position. You will also assist with work on National Accounts as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dealing with any daily requests relating to existing accounts
  • Regular visits to customers sites to hold account reviews and assist customers in improving waste processes, focusing on the waste hierarchy
  • Analysis of accounts to ensure ongoing profitability of contracts
  • Introduction of additional services and innovative ideas to existing customers
  • Engaging with all departments necessary to address customers’ needs
  • Work with Suppliers in conjunction with Procurement department to address customers needs/service delivery levels
  • Portraying a professional, positive & customer focused image to clients & the wider industry
  • Providing help as directed on National Accounts

Knowledge/skills required

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience within the Waste industry
  • Experience of dealing with customers face to face
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of our Client’s products and services
  • Knowledge of our Client’s Customers
  • Excellent Planning and Organisation skills – capable of prioritising own workloads and resources
  • IT Skills: MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Driving Licence
