Field Sales Consultant

London, Permanent, 25K + OTE 47K and Car Allowance - Basic dependant on experience

The Position

Due to expansion, our client is looking for a resilient and confident Field Sales Consultant from within the Waste Management or Hygiene Sector. The successful candidate will thrive in a target driven environment and want to progress their sales career within an innovative company. To be considered for this role we’re looking for ambitious, outgoing, dedicated and driven individuals, with a proven track record in field sales, selling service contracts to industry.

Responsibilities

  1. Selling the Client’s services to achieve profitable budgeted targets and surveying particular jobs where necessary. To secure profitable long term contracted new business within price authorised price matrices.
  1. To identify and make effective sales calls within the designated territory, specifically targeted all waste and recycling generating businesses.
  1. Working with their Customer Services and Transport Departments you will also help to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability through contract management.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving your set targets per month by seeking new business by   cold calling and appointments.
  • Must arrange 20 appointments per week minimum.
  • Must arrange 80 cold calls per week minimum.
  • Responsible for increasing revenue by new business contracts.
  • Ensure you are a point of contact for customers if required.
  • Liaise with transport, office and management teams.
  • Report any issues to the Sales Director on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of services and products.

Where will I be based?

  • You will spend four days in your designated postal area and one day in the office with the Sales Team planning for the week ahead.

Package

  • This position comes with a generous monthly car/travel allowance, fuel expenses paid, mobile phone allowance, and commission and consistency bonuses. OTE £47k Commission is uncapped and % increased for over achievers.

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • A strong and persuasive telephone manner in order to appoint new business opportunities
  • A proactive attitude to generate and develop your own leads through foot canvassing and other means
  • Strong communication skills to build and maintain excellent relationships with both clients and AHS colleagues
  • Ensure client retention by managing your existing portfolio
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and plan your days effectively
  • Excellent time keeping skills
  • Efficient administration and IT skills to complete sales reports
  • Competitive and dedicated personality to achieve set targets and KPIs

Required experience:

  • Business to Business Field Sales: 2 years

Required licence or certification:

  • A full, clean driving licence and a car owner
