The Client

A leading Waste Management and Recycling Company operating across Wales.

 

Purpose and Responsibilities

Due to strong and consistent growth we are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join our Client’s passionate and hardworking team to take on the business development and source new dry waste materials and outlets for their waste facility based in Wales.

The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to achieve sales targets by promoting and selling the companies services to clients. You will actively contribute to the profitable development of the business and help to collectively manage your pipeline opportunities.

Specific tasks/ responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold calling and Meeting potential and new clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.

 

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • Current knowledge of the Waste and Recycling Market
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident with the ability to negotiate effectively
  • Proven written communication and presentation skills
  • IT Literate

 

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Waste & Recycling Sector Experience: 3 years
  • Business Development Experience: 5 years
  • Clean UK Driving License
