The Client

A leading Environmental Sustainability and Waste Management Company.

Purpose and Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional within the Waste Recycling/Environmental sector to join a leading Environmental Sustainability specialist. The main responsibility for the Business Development Manager will be to find and generate new business opportunities and leads. This will include selling the company’s consulting services for design/project management as a framework contract for new connections, including utility procurement contracts, bill validation and energy management and reporting. This position will consist of one day in the office for admin and the other days working from the office when not out visiting existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and develop commercial relationships.
  • Network and generate your own leads.
  • Develop business/marketing plans to ensure personal and business line growth targets are met.
  • Ensure that the company’s products, image, reputation, and achievements are represented to maximum effect to present added value.
  • The ability to work in line with and to actively encourage and promote our clients company values.
  • To manage a portfolio of existing accounts whilst chasing up and finding new business opportunities

Essential Experiences

  • A minimum of 2 years as a Sales professional; Business Development Manager, New Business Manager, Sales Manager or Commercial Manager.
  • Ideally has experience within the Construction, Environmental, Sustainability or Renewable Energy sector.
  • A proven successful background in Business Development or Sales Management
  • Skilled at getting into new prospects at the right level and working multiple contacts in an organisation to close sales
  • Passionate about selling with great people skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Own a car
  • IT Literate
