A leading Environmental, Sustainability and Waste Management Company.

Purpose and Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Professional with a background in selling Technical Services/Solutions to join an energetic and dynamic team based in Greater London/Surrey area.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for winning new clients in the construction sector for consulting services for temporary building supplies and new connections of all utilities on construction projects. This will include selling the company’s consulting services for design/project management as a framework contract for new connections, including utility procurement contracts, bill validation and energy management and reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and develop commercial relationships.
  • Network and generate your own leads.
  • Develop business/marketing plans to ensure personal and business line growth targets are met.
  • Ensure that the company’s products, image, reputation, and achievements are represented to maximum effect to present added value.
  • The ability to work in line with and to actively encourage and promote our clients company values.
  • To manage a portfolio of existing accounts whilst chasing up and finding new business opportunities

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • Skilled at getting into new prospects at the right level and working multiple contacts in an organisation to close sales
  • Ambitious, pro-active and motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage a diary.
  • You will be bright and bubbly as well as an effective communicator and negotiator.
  • Have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work in under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
  • IT literate with presenting skills

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Business Development/Commercial Management/Field Sales Experience: 4 years minimum
  • A background in Technical Sales (Engineering/IT/FM Solutions): 2 Years minimum
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence: 1 year
