A leading Aggregates and Waste Management solutions provider. 


Purpose and Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Commercial Manager to join our clients waste management solutions and support our client’s growth and development plan. Your primary responsibility as Commercial Manager is to oversee and lead the Waste sales and transport co-ordination team based out of the Barton Stacey office. As Commercial Manager you will need to demonstrate commercial awareness along with a superb knowledge of the Waste Sector. The Commercial Manager will work alongside the Sales Team and report to the Sales Director.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Managing the full sales team including Business Development Managers and transport co-ordinators.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a customer focused and proactive team.
  • Influencing, implementing and delivering the sales strategy.
  • To identify and lead on the account manage key direct and broker relationships to grow opportunities and new business.
  • Ensure that sales volume and ASP targets are exceeded with pipelines maintained and developed.
  • Create important business connections through strong networking skills.
  • Attend relevant events to promote the brand and gain valuable business insight.

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • Proven successful track record of developing key customer relationships.
  • Proven successful team leadership and development of individuals’ performance.
  • Track record of developing with relevant team members, and of implementing, new and successful sales campaigns.

Required experience:

  • Commercial/Sales Management experience: 3 years
  • Business to Business Sales: 5 years
  • Waste Management Industry experience & knowledge: 3 years

Required licence or certification:

  • A full, clean UK Driving Licence
