Our Client

A leading and rapidly expanding family run Waste Management and Recycling Services Supplier.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join their team based in Oxfordshire. As Contract Manager you will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships with clients in order to grow our client’s third party accounts. You will also be responsible for supervising a small customer services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts within financialbudgets.
  • Manage performance of key contracts to individual customer specifications, KPIs &SLAs.
  • Update customers on new technology, innovations andlegislation.
  • Carry out regular reviews of each contract in terms of price, type of service, best value andprofitability.
  • Ensure correct management information (MI) is supplied to the customer specification in a timely manner.
  • Organise and carry out presentations, waste awareness seminars and facility tours /audits.
  • Maintain regular visible contact with key stakeholders within individualcontracts.
  • Make sure that day-to-day operational matters and client queries are dealt with sufficiently by the customer services / administrativeteams.
  • Obtain and manage relevant sub-contractors when needed, ensuring value formoney.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Depot Operations Managers to discuss service levels and opportunities for efficiencies and service expansion, and where necessary also communicate with the Regional Operations Managers(ROMs).
  • Ensure performance levels are achieved in accordance with customers’requirements.
  • Assist the Credit Control department in the collection of payment of overdueaccounts.
  • When required assist the CS Team Leader with managing the CS team or any issues arising related to theteam.
  • Take a lead role alongside the CS Team Leader and manage any disciplinary matters involving CS Operators.
  • Monitor the activity of the CS alongside the CS Team Leader, including assessing telephone reports and CS email activity, identifying areas for improvement inperformance and/or efficiency and implementing effective solutions.

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint andOutlook.
  • Experience of usingdatabases.
  • Excellent report-writingskills.
  • Strong desire to learn newsystems.
  • Ability toproblem-solve.
  • Numerate, and confident with the writtenword.
  • Confident and engaging presentationskills.
  • Confident communicator, accurate, approachable, flexible and ability tomulti-task.
  • Places high importance on providing the best customerservice.
  • Strong team player with the ability to motivate and supervise others.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to move and change systems and processes within a growingbusiness.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Contract/Commercial/Account Management: 3 years (Required)
  • Waste and Recycling Sector Experience: 2 years
  • Driving Licence: 1 year (Required)
