Key Account Manager

UK, Permanent, £42-45K + Bonus

The Role:


To manage our client’s largest and most complex national waste customers.  To build revenue from  these customers and improve margins and to identify additional revenue streams from these customers


Main responsibilities:


  • To enhance and expand our relationship your customers
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets as set
  • Achieve or exceed gross margin targets as set
  • Record all activity and outputs in Salesforce in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide first class, proactive customer service
  • Work closely with business development team to ensure seamless customer onboarding
  • Work closely with account management team to deliver first class customer service at all times.
  • Work closely with supplier pricing team to create innovative and appropriately priced waste solutions
  • Create active account management plans for your customers.
  • Involve other team members in customer meetings as appropriate



Essential Skills/experience:


  • experience of managing £1-£2m accounts in brokered waste
  • Educated to A level standard - minimum of GCSE in Maths and English
  • At least 5 years Waste Management experience
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Experience in a sales position to understand negotiating and buying techniques
