Operations Manager

The Client

A rapidly growing Waste Management Company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take day to day responsibility for the delivery of the company’s waste and fleet operations.


Responsibilities will include but not limited to;


  • Leading, motivating, management and development of a workforce  both in fleet and recycling operations
  • Ensuring compliance of the companies health and safety and HR policies and procedures
  • Delivery of company targets in recycling / recovery rates and bottom line profitability
  • Development of processing procedures and ensuring they are adhered to in order to achieve the company standards and targets
  • To be the budget holder and take responsibilities for procurement of necessary goods and services
  • To work closely with the finance team to set the necessary KPI’s and annual budgets and provide timely management accounts


Essential requirements;


  • Waste Management Experience – minimum 5 years
  • WAMITAB COTC certificate, minimum of level 4 competence
  • IOSH
  • Demonstrate a hands on ability to the development of a team
  • Have a proactive approach to continuous improvement in cost control and productivity
  • Have a solutions oriented approach to resolving issues
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Have communication skills to meet the requirements of board member meetings and communicate effectively with a diverse team of varying skill levels
