Are you a Sales Professional looking for an exciting new position in a fascinating industry? Ace Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Executive with one of the waste sectors leading family owned companies. Our client is a rapidly expanding and innovative Waste Management Company providing a wide range of Waste and Recycling Services across the South of England.

Purpose and Responsibilities

As Sales Executive you'll join a small, motivated team that provides clinical, pharmaceutical and bio-research waste collection and disposal services for customers such as hospitals, pharmaceutical and research companies, unis, doctors and dentists. Your job will involve researching and developing new opportunities, plus managing existing clinical contracts, to ensure maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, it will be the responsibility of Clinical Waste Sales to concentrate on developing and securing additional business, to include clinical, pharmaceutical and offensive waste services. Additional responsibilities will include the management and support of key accounts, up-selling wherever possible, whilst ensuring maximum potential profitability.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and secure new business opportunities for the clinical waste business, increasing revenue by selling the existing services and products offered, as well as developingnew and innovative ideas.
  • Maximise revenue and profitability, working to achieve and better define targets; formallyreporting performance to the Commercial Manager on a monthlybasis.
  • Follow up on leads, successfully convert enquiries and secure contracts to provide wasteservices.
  • Management of major clinical contracts to the satisfaction of the Company and customer. Providea high level of customer support, managing the relationship with the customerorganisation.
  • Carry out regular reviews of key accounts in terms of price, type of service, best valueand profitability.
  • Manage performance of key contracts to individual customer specifications (KPIs, SLAsetc.)
  • Update customers on new technology and processes, as well as relevant changes to legislationand compliance.
  • Organise and carry out any required presentations, exhibitions or other seminars that are required by the customer to help develop thebusiness.
  • Promote the Contract Management and Total Waste Management concepts to prospective, new and existingcustomers.
  • Provide assistance with new tenders for NHS clients; manage site visits and evaluate service requirements and assist with the preparation of tender documentation.
  • Provide support to other clinical accounts as required.

Person Specification

  • Competent in Microsoft Office and using databases.
  • Possess good time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate confident ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for sales.
  • Be confident, well presented and capable of negotiating confidently.
  • Numerate and confident with the written word.
  • Place a high importance on excellent customer service.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Sales/Business Development/Account Management Experience: 3 years minimum
  • Driving Licence: 1 year
  • Waste Management/Environmental Services/Hazardous/Clinical Waste Industry Experience: Advantageous
