The Client

A well respected Construction Waste Management and Recycling Company specialising in RDF.


Purpose and Responsibilities

This is an excellent chance for a Shift Supervisor looking to progress within the Industry and join a company who invests in their staff. Your main responsibility will be to manage the shift and all direct staff whilst also ensuring the smooth running of the production/recycling process. You will be over all responsible for the production and ensure a quality product in the end result. Target and deadlines must be met to achieve the orders. As Supervisor you will also have to ensure that all direct staff complies with the company’s health and safety procedures.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the ongoing waste processing and operational side of the business are managed continually and effectively in line with the company’s requirements.
  • To ensure a smooth running and operation at all times.
  • To ensure the safety of all site users, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
  • Provide good customer service to all site users, visitors, neighbours and deal with any complaints that may arise via senior management.
  • To ensure all mobile plant and operators are productive and operating in an efficient and safe manner.
  • To ensure mobile plant is fully maintained by operatives and all daily checks are completed by the relevant personnel, and any defects or faults on mobile plant or equipment are reported and rectified.
  • To ensure the correct waste types are accepted and any non-conforming waste are reported and dealt with accordingly.
  • To liaise with the transport office and weighbridge continually as to ensure the operational side of the business functions efficiently.
  • Oversee and assist (when necessary) with the waste processing and operational side of the business which includes site cleaning and sorting of recycled materials. Managing the associated operational team.
  • To ensure all ongoing waste compliance criteria is met at all times.
  • To keep the site/plant and equipment in a clean and tidy condition at all times.


Essential Experiences

  • A minimum of 3 years within a supervisory position.
  • Experience within the Waste Management Sector, Specifically RDF/ Construction Waste will be advantageous.
  • Any Valid License for either 360 excavator, Loading Shovel, Forklift or Shunter – NPORS, CPCS, ITSSAR, CPC, HGV will be advantageous.
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Own your own transport or live within commuting distance of the work place due to location and working hours
